Jessica is a Registered Nurse. She is certified in Radiation Therapy Nursing by the Oncology Nursing Society. You will first meet her at the time of the consultation and then see her during treatment and follow-ups. She will handle scheduling for any diagnostic imaging, labs, referrals, as well as organize all appointments related to brachytherapy procedures. For Jessica it is helping patients medically, but also getting to spend extra time to get to know patients and their families. It is about helping to ease any anxiety and provide support during treatment, and after the cancer has gone into remission. She wants patients to always feel they can call her with anything, and she will be there to help. Her patients are a blessing to her and caring for them is what makes being a nurse so wonderful.
Jessica was born in Seminole, FL and moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 1993. She attended Georgia College & State University and also played tennis there for 3 years. She transferred to Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduating she married her husband Chad and moved to Eatonton, GA to live on his family’s dairy farm. She has worked at the Medical Center of Central GA in Macon in Medical-Oncology as well as Putnam General Hospital prior to coming here in 2013. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, crafting, playing tennis, and antique shopping.
